What are some majors that primarily focus on learning how to analyze, research and understand demographics. I have always really really enjoy demographics and my undergraduate degree is somewhat related to that (Geography). I am just wondering what are some majors that would help teach me about demographics and utilize those skills in a career.

The majors that I can think of are Geography, Sociology, and Statistics. Is there anything else out there that is related?

Public health
Urban planning
Political science
Business marketing
Advertising
Government

If you want to make a successful career I'd think a business-related marketing field would be your best bet. I suspect all major national and multinational corporations make enormous and sophisticated use of demographic data in the product development and marketing. And there are probably big consulting firms that do nothing but demographic research for business.

^^I like this. I wouldn't go back to some school to be better equipped to handle demographics. No way, that would be such a waste of time and resources. Study some demographics! Why not find some unique information through some hard research and sell it to companies. You could easily create some sort of consulting position for yourself out of thin air. Wait, not easily, but you could. Quick example would be real-estate investment companies.

Information is priceless if you find it. In the movie Wall Street, for example, doesn't Douglas send him out to find information, any information that could lead to different decision making? Such a great example of the value of information.

Good luck, keep posting, I'd love to know where you go with this.
