The kids get out mid-June, with teachers a few days later, returning in mid to late August. We were hit with bad storms this winter, with the result that we were out of school for several days due to snow. Because of that, we're getting out a bit later than normal, as we have to make up a few snow days.

Our students last day is May 26, teachers the 28th. I think we go back Aug. 16th

In Michigan, where I am from originally, public schools cannot start until after Labor Day now because of tourism..........My brother gets out June 11 back there.

Most of North Carolina's schools will release around June 10 and will resume August 25. Most districts--excluding the mountains--aren't allowed to start school before the 25th and have to end around the 10th due to tourism.

We aren't allowed to start before Labor Day, pretty much for the same reason. 38 more days.

Right now I would trade for any of these early dates if I could.

No deal, huh?

Ordinarily, for public schools, the end of May. My school is private, however, and in session year-round.
