Officials: Northeast house fires are arson - El Paso Times

An arsonist caused about $350,000 in damage to several Northeast El Paso homes on Saturday morning, fire officials said.

No one was injured.

Four of the homes were occupied and two were under construction, said Fire Department spokesman John Concha.

Fifteen firetrucks arrived at 14427 Misty Point Court at 5:45 a.m.

Are they building houses out by the New Mexico state line now? (If this is in Northeast, then the 14400 block would be close to the state line, if it even exists; I thought it only went up to the 13700s out there, until I heard about a car crash recently that happened in the 14000 block of McCombs near the McCombs Landfill.) Did this incident happen near Newman (around Dyer and Edge of Texas) or someplace west of that?

I just had a dude from a local news tell me they were doing it in my hood which is the far east. I guess he was wrong or the arsonist gets around.

I don't trust the Times - not since they infected my PC with a trojan (likely from an ad).

14427 Misty Point Court is out near Zaragosa: (map).

Yeah, I didn't think that was in Northeast. The block numbers in Northeast going north toward Chaparral only go up to, what, the 14000 block?
