Thousands of people gathered to celebrate "El Grito" downtown only to find out later that their cars had been towed. Why not at least charge a few bucks to use the empty lots at events like these. When we parked our truck there was officers patrolling the area and didnt say anything so we like thousands others felt it was okay. It was horrible to say the least looking at all those peoples faces with a dejected pissed off look what should've been a celebration. I can just imagine what the people from Juarez went through just to get their vehicles back. Not only that but the tow truck drivers working in a haste to clear hundreds of cars damaged a lot of vehicles. I saw plenty of damaged bumpers and some even completely ripped off. I stood there and watched as one car was being dragged when the tire completly blew out and bent the wheel into the fender. I talked to others in the same situation as us, but at least we had the means to get to the yard and pay the fine, they on the other hand were wondering what the hell to do next and where to come up with $150.00.

What a shameful ending to what other wise would've been a night of celebration. Good job El Paso.

Which lot were you in? Were these lots that had unattended booths or ones that used the put-the-money-in-the-slot systems?
