I have to stay strong for my father..who survives her..!..At this point..really considering moving back in the summer once the school year is over, because I dont want my father to feel lonely since he just lost his partner of 71 years..but I will just wait and see..as jobs arent really that great there!!

XChucoresident, my condolences. I know it's hard being away from elderly parents and not there to help.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I am sure it is difficult. Please don't let yourself be rushed into making any huge changes in your life. Especially now with the current economy. If you end up penniless and unemployed, how much help will you be to your father? If you have a job where you live, its not wise to move to a new location without a job these days. Give your self and your father some time to make a decision.

I'm sorry for your loss, too--it's very hard (I lost my mom 18 months ago, and Daddy survives her also, 62 years of marriage).

But I also agree with CptRn.......maybe make the bigger decisions later when the emotions are not quite so raw.

May the Lord our Father strengthen you to get through this season. I lost my mom in 2005, my dad in 2006, and eldest half brother in 2007. We know what you are going through. It may seem far away but you and your dad will get through this. Just be comforted that she is in a better place of happiness and joy.

My condolences to you and your father. Things will get better over time.

Well, I guess I'll be the uncouth one here, but I must say, I can't tell from your post if you are in greif, mourning, or complaining. 'Sorry. Anyway, I wish you well.
