Ok so we are getting the ball park, downtown is getting a up grade, along with other things around the city if we vote yes in Nov. But what else would you like to have here?

An amusement park to replace Western Playland. There are 400 amusement parks in the US and none are located in EL Paso. You would think that the nineteenth largest city would have at least one park. Blame commissioners court for that one.

If it was up to me, I would expand Ascarate lake by shutting down Ascarate Golf Course. Stock the lake for some great fishing and set up paddle boat rentals. I would then bring in a much larger, combined water park/amusement park. The only problem would be the county commissioners. Oh well, I can dream...

IKEA. Definitely IKEA.
More good paying office jobs.
3 lanes on the I-10 from Mesa St to Anthony.
More coffee shops, fewer yogurt shops.
An awesome children's museum - like the one in Rochester NY: Things to See & Do | National Museum of Play
Google Fiber.
In N Out Burger.

I think some of the stores mentioned here will be coming to the new Fountains shopping center on Hawkins and I10.

If Monterrey Tech ends up opening that El Paso branch campus they're talking about maybe opening or Sul Ross opens a satellite campus in El Paso, to widen the higher education options there, that would be good. El Paso probably doesn't have the population at this time to support a Texas A&M branch campus; the more colleges there, the better.

Also: A commuter rail system; maybe light rail in town up Alameda, Montana, North Mesa and the Patriot Freeway.

HEB would be nice, but walmart has a lock on all the local farm land. HEB can't get a foot in. Not to mention that it's way too far from any distribution centers. It's a logistical nightmare for HEB. Odessa is lucky to have one, and they're 5 hours out from San Antonio.
