This is sad to hear. I've been gone from EP for 6 years now, & really miss it. I lived up in Mesa Hills, so Sunland was where my kids practically grew up--mall rats to mall jobs, etc. I also used to go there all the time with my friends, too. So many great memories!

Good news about the theaters. I think the closing of the theaters were the beginning of the downturn at Sunland Park Mall. When the organ was down there and the movies were still going, seemed like more excitement. Now to just get more national chains in there.

People, no need to be alarmed. Sunland Park Mall is fine. It is still busy and crowded. Although some stores are no longer there, other stores have taken their place. All the stores, across the way, feed into the mall. Best Buy, Ulta, Michael's, Toys R Us, Academy Sports, etc...
