Can anyone recommend a used car dealer in El Paso for poor credit cases or say who to avoid? Are Alameda Street dealers OK or shady?

I like Dick Poe. No shady dealings with them, ever.

I've bought a vehicle from an Alameda dealer -- no problem. Of course when you buy a vehicle with high mileage and for little cash, you don't expect the same as from a new and very expensive car. "As is" means that. I think it doesn't hurt to check the BBB rating -- and there are Alameda dealers with A+ BBB ratings. I don't have poor credit, I just like paying cash for vehicles.

Also -- there is at least one dealer on Alameda that provides the VIN numbers on their web page of their inventory -- with mileage and prices, so you can run a carfax report before you even go to check out the cars.
