Have you used them before?
Sorry for the late reply. I took a guitar there a few years back and service was great and friendly. Friends of mine regularly go there. Don't know about any others in town, but I'm sure there are tons of shops on every side of town.

Ate at Lucy's on Mesa today after a friend hyped it up.

I was disappointed, it wasn't as good as I thought it'd be. I had 3 beef taco's and a carnita torta. The torta was great, one of the best I've had but the taco's were disappointing. First, they were disappointing because they didn't come out on flour and second because the beef was bland and tasteless.

Why do I order taco's? Because I think it's a standard dish, very basic and fundamental to a Mexican restaurant. Not very much deviation from it so it's about as standard as you can get outside of a chain restaurant.

Are there any places for even just decent Chinese food?

I still miss the Chinese food in California (where I haven't lived for 30 years).

Also, Army guy (just looking over your past posts in this thread); my fave Mexican restaurants on the Westside are: Carnitas Queretero (on Mesa between Sunland and Resler -- not the other one); Leos on Remcon, and the Riviera on Doniphan. For comparison purposes, I always look at the salsa, and the cheese enchiladas.

And yeah -- you have to follow the "extreme" conditions for the car maintenance thing. (not that I'm a car girl/expert type).

I'm going to try this tonight. Urban Spoon had great reviews for it. I'm excited.

Let us know what you think. It was originally a take out joint for years (if not decades). They took over the suite next door to it and added a dine in area. Great food.

So far it's been the best Chinese I've had in El Paso. But with me living on the west side, I'm not sure if it's worth the drive or not.
