road runner has sucked for years. It was only good when it first arrived and the lines were clear. Those were the days. Now it's congested, crappy and speed is capped into oblivion. You can also thank telecom companies like time warner for stunting other technologies to bring cheaper, faster internet. They lobby against it. I wonder why?

Simply talking about relative speed, probably nothing. This is a low tech area. Although depending on your location, some DSL service like at&t might be cheaper than RR for comparable speed. I do doubt that the fastest service RR offers can be beat in speed by anyone else, but it's also the opposite of cheap. This is what happens in low tech areas. Higher prices for slower crap, and sometimes unreliable. You should see the speed they get in other cities, and especially other countries, and what they pay for it. But hey, at least we get cheap gasoline so we can drive to walmart more often.

The average price in the US is $2.71 (GasBuddy.com)

Lowest prices on the west side are usually Sams ($2.53) and the two stations at Red/I-10 ($2.62). elpasogasprices.com

Nice heat map at: http://www.elpasogasprices.com/Price_By_County.aspx

From what I have read recently, we are higher than the Texas average but still below the US average.
