Cinema Park Drive Inn, on Montana in between Lee Trevino and George Dieter, never showed porn.

I'm pretty sure at least one drive-in in El Paso did, though. I don't think it was the Rocket. The screen faced a neighborhood off McCombs at the east end of Dearborne about a quarter of a mile away. People at the houses in the 10400 block of Palomino would have been able to take in quite a spectacle from their back yards (not for long, though).

I guess it could have been the Fiesta that showed the porn films.

The Fiesta, on Montana, in far east El Paso, still shows adult movies.

The one on Montana has no connection to the former Fiesta on N. Mesa. They are of a different era.

Correction. The Fiesta Drive-In on N. Mesa did show adult movies in the late 1970's until it closed. They thought that because the screen faced the mountains and wasn't visible to the public that they could operate legally, but they were wrong. They were forced out of the city limits and that's how the Fiesta ended up on Montana.

All of this was common knowledge on the UTEP campus at the time as fraternities often included the Fiesta as a part of pledge night activities.
