Just wanted to comment on why they decided on putting another Ross store in the old Barnes and Noble building. There is already one down the road on Yarbrough. They still have vacant spaces with the old Best Buy and Tiger Direct locations. I just wish they could do something better with that place than add the same old retail companies. A high end restaurant would be nice (e.g. Cheesecake factory which everyone in the city has been asking for)

I'm sure the owners of the building agree with you. The City, nor the building owner, can't force a tenant here. The owners are probably pretty happy with Ross however.

This was a disappointment for me too, but I can understand why the property management allowed the tenant. They are probably one of the largest retailers here and these Ross stores are always extremely packed. I think the Yarbrough store will close once this one gets going. There are now 3 Ross' stores within a few miles. Bassett Center, Yarbrough and now Vscount.

There are more than just those three in close viscinity. There is a montwood location not too far away and another on joe battle. Good for the chain but bad for variety.

That location where Ross is going in would be perfect as a Sprouts. The Viscount area has a terrible selection of grocery stores.
