These were taken by fellow forum member Chuco from another City-Data Forum Thread.
The Sun Bowl (capacity: 52,000)

They were working on the scoreboard, probably getting it ready for Sept 1st.

The Larry K. Durham Center

The new parking garage, next to the Sun Bowl, it is practically done, I think the right side of it, is already being used. (this garage should help out the parking situation for football games at UTEP)

The new Hilton Garden Inn, it was built in the same Bhutanese architectural style as UTEP, it was also built on UTEP property.

Well I was in town this week and took my new Nikon camera up to Scenic Drive to test it out ;-) I was born and raised in El Paso and I havent been on top of Scenic Drive more than twice, both because I was part of the court for Quinceneras. Haha how sad!

Panoramic Skyline of El Paso

Another Skyline Pic

Double Tree Hotel

I was hoping to get a picture of the Star at night and was also hoping that the Wells Fargo Plaza and the Chase Tower would be lit, but it didnt happen. Hopefully I can get it when Im back in town in May.

I have many more pictures but I dont have time to put them up.

Taken From my Flight This Morning
I love the early morning flights on Sundays! Only 20 people were on board!

These are the signs on Scenic Drive made oh so many years ago. You can tell by reading them.

This was hard to read, but the sign calls Biggs AAF Biggs AFB, back when Biggs was an Air Force Base

and just to point out the small changes that our skyline has had over the years, I took a newer version of the pic of El Paso and compare it to the version i took around 3 years ago (it appeared in a Dick Poe commercial!!!)

2009

Hopefully the Poppies turn out more next year because i am dying to get apicture of them
