What is that deal with Juarez right now? Has the violence subsided? Is it safe to go to Washington Dental for the day?

What kind of ID do you need to get back into the US now? Just a driver's license or more?

If I were you I'd go to J-Town only during the day. All you need to say at the US port of entry is "Amercian Citizen". On the Mexican side declare "nada" or nothing.

Put your large bills in your shoe and your small bills in your pocket....just in case the "policia" stops you. You can pay him off on the spot. Dont mean to scare you but this is the reality of it now.

I think that is it. Anybody else?

Take his advise, and we will be having a remembrance of you on here, because you'll be dead.

This link tells you what you need. You need a Passport or a birth certificate ( original not a copy ) to come back into America from Mexico. Plus a picture ID from a state or government.

Mexico

This link will tell you to not goto Mexico.

MIG: Mexico Travel Alert (http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/pa/pa_3028.html - broken link)

US Soldiers are forbidden to goto Mexico. If your in the military and you goto Mexico.. you will be face severe UCMJ punishment.

SO WITH THAT ALL SAID... STAY OUT OF MEXICO!

Thanks, I knew it had gotten worse over there, but had not really paid attention to how far it had deteriorated. Looks like the wild, wild west with machine guns.

I went to a dentist in J-town once about 15 years ago. He drilled into a tooth and realized he did not have anymore filling!!! I had to wait in his waiting room for 4 hours until he got some more. Never again did I go over there for that.

Never been in a wreck there but I had a guy tap me on the fender when I was yielding on a right turn. Apparently he thought I was taking too long. I was alone and he had three others so I had to bite my tongue.
