Found this very brief post by El Paso inc claiming that Topgolf is coming to El Paso. Any thoughts or any more information out there some can add. I did a quick Google search and found nothing. I think they have yet to file a permit with the city. If that was the case it would probably be all over the news. Can anyone else confirm??

If the city council approves its tax rebates on Tuesday, it looks like Topgolf will be opening at Montecillo hopefully soon.

Yup, unfortunately we do have to offer nice incentives to bring some businesses here.. but it seems to be working. Doing some googling, several other cities have also offered large incentives to get a Topgolf as well so we aren't the only ones..

Back to the topic, the city council postponed the vote on the incentives plan for Topgolf til November 1st. Hopefully it will get approved then.

No, not actual cities that can support businesses. They go there and open because they'll make money. Real cities offer incentives to companies to bring substantial jobs to their city, or regional hq's or or even corporate HQs. Not too golf.

The RGV offered incentives to brin CostCo and Bass Pro to their region. Because without those incentives, those businesses would have zero desire to go there freely.

I like how you act as if you know the whole story.. LOL!

Topgolf was eventually going to open in El Paso anyways (even without incentives), a recent EP Times article explains how the incentives were offered early in the process so that it could accelerate the timeline of Topgolf building of one of their centers here. Also the average Topgolf hires around 450 people.. is that not substantial for you? You should change your name to unintentionallyNOTfunny.

El Paso offers $5 million to lure Topgolf

How do you define 'actual cities'?

Obviously cities like San Antonio and Charlotte do not have to offer incentives. Markets with Pro Sports team. Several local articles on the subject clearly said other cities have also offered incentives. Other non actual cities I suppose?
