These types of projects always inadvertently target people with the least political clout. I don't understand why the railroad site wasn't more feasible.

It looks like City Council changed their minds about bulldozing the Duranguito neighborhood for the arena. (It seems that's what the area bordered by Durango and Santa Fe Streets, San Antonio Avenue and Paisano Drive is called--Duranguito. I never heard that name before. I always thought it was part of Union Plaza.) Anyway, last time I checked they're looking at either incorporating the Abraham Chavez Theater into the new arena or tearing it down altogether to build the arena.
