Hello El Paso friends,

It has been several years since I have last been able to get to El Paso. When I lived in Albuquerque, NM, I spent a great deal of time visiting El Paso many times. I really fell in love with the El Paso climate, topography, and vegetation.

The three plants/trees that I really fell in love with in El Paso are the ubiquitous palm trees everywhere, along with some incredibly - awe-inducing large agaves, and even some mighty saguaros.

El Paso is such a beautiful year-round climate in that even though it is in the Chihuahuan Desert (and saguaros are at home in the Sonoran Desert) saguaros can and do grow in El Paso.

Friends, if you have any photos of 1) Palm Trees, 2) Agaves, or 3) Saguaros growing in El Paso, would you be willing to please post any and all photos you may have of them? I think doing so would help to show some of the underrated beauty that El Paso boasts, as well as making a fellow like me able to be transported in spirit to one of my adopted desert homes, El Paso, TX!

I know that there is an El Paso photo thread, however, that is not specific to these plants/vegetation. I would appreciate any photos you have and are willing to share!
