I never cared for dust storms either, they surely are not healthy for you with all those dust particles in the air and breathing that stuiff is just no good.

I actually like them -- it makes you think of some old Western where the cowboy is riding into some wind storm, or that old song where they sing Tumbeling Along with the Tumbleling Tumble Weeds.

For some reason the air the day following a good dust storm is especially fresh and the sky especially blue.

I know if I ever move away from here, I will miss the dust storms especially if I were to live where there are tornados or blizzards or hurricanes. And you might as well enjoy them because we only get 2 or 3 each spring.

It does seem like the sky was much clearer... though it was two days after the big dust storm. The weather is gorgeous now and I can't wait to enjoy it. Maybe a nice run or something!

I counted that last one as a 2 day dust storm even though the 2nd day wasn't very dusty. I think there was just one other semi-dust storm and that's likely it for this year.

I've noticed many times that the following day after a good wind is extra nice -- maybe it only seems that way but I think the wind blows in fresh air, blows alot of bad stuff out.

You can't beat this weekend -- it's perfect weather for running, bikes, horses, having a cook-out, or just about anything.

I don't know about you guys but Im pretty much sick and tired of this dry, very hot and windy weather we have been having lately. One of the most common things that people say about El Paso is how great the weather we have. I think that statement may be a little overrated. I mean who likes blowing dust storms in the spring, the 100 degree temps in the summer?

The only good weather we have is the warm non windy days in the spring and in early fall when its not too warm and not too cold.

To be honest I can't wait for the monsoon season to get here. We much need rain badly especially with all the dry brush and fire danger there is in our surrounding areas.

UTELPASO88... This is unusual weather.. we do have hot summers here, as I have said before.. but normally we don't have this many over 100 degree days in a row.. and with dry blowing winds.

I am with you though.. this has got to end soon.. its killer. Luckily were not in Cali, or we would have running brown outs here and we would have many deaths due to the major heat were having.

I just saw on the weather channel that were gonna be over 100 ( 106-103 ) till Next Sunday.. with winds. Guess calling this place HELL PASO is starting to be more true than I thought.. holy cow man this heat has to break... or I have to move to a cooler climate.
