We'll be going in April to El Paso and Big Bend from SF Bay Area. So we will be totally vaccinated - I guess we must wear our masks on planes but don't have to worry about wearing them unless we want to in El Paso. Also, it's good to know that we can walk over to Juarez. We may do that for lunch if it's permitted.

I have a bunch of unrelated questions. Please chime in if you have any information. Thanks!

How crowded is the Franklin mountain state park? Is a reservation needed ahead of time or can you just walk in and pay the fee?
Are there any other parks recommended in the area?
With the increase in cross border immigration, is there a chance of running to traffickers in area parks since it is just across the border?
A few years back, I was asked for proof of valid visa or US citizenship even though I was at a US airport flying locally from a border city. Does CBP(Border Patrol) stop people randomly and ask for citizenship proof here in El Paso?

You wouldn't know a trafficker if there was/is one so the point is pretty moot. No BP does not randomly stop people in EP. That said if there is suspicion or reasonable cause I'm sure they can pursue their curiosity same as cops do.
