Been reading on the El Paso Times newspaper about all the medean landscaping going on in east El Paso but is anything happening in my hometown area. I E-mailed Mayor Cook and asked about Northeast since he was also our city Councilor before Mayor and he said that Dyer from Patriot freeway to McCombs would be starting soon in stages over time....

First the compliant.. they dug up all of Fairbanks, killed every tree in the median there, made a mess of the roads, and have yet to fix it. There are some trees back at Rushing and Fairbanks still there. Its ugly now. Also did this near Parkland and a few other places to put in a new water system, drainage or something.

Ok now the positive.. Yes they are putting in nice median stuff on Dyer, and McCombs. They have done a wonderful job on Kenworthy, now a major street in the N.E. And these really nice green old time light fixtures.

We have been told that the Loop will meet with the mountian very soon, and they have decided to put the loop on stilts and make a park under it in the median there on Trans MT. Kinda like the spagetti bowl.

They have also been enforcing the yard laws to the extreme.. if your grass is more than a inch you get fines of upto 200 bucks, park a car in your yard and they give you a warning..leave your trashcans out and get a fine.. not that we have had a problem other then the car in the yard..
