Is this Upscale Shopping center a Lifestyle center too, or just a Upscale shopping center? Lifestyle centers also have housing built into the plan.. Lofts and apartments.. the idea is that it becomes a community inside a community inside a city.

Well, if he is not serious about it, he won't get squat from the city in Tax Incentives.

No what I am saying is, most of the time, when a project like this is in the media, or is in the works.. a website with more info and renderings goes up to help garner support and to inform the population on the plans. There is no such web page. A good example is when the Outlet mall went up on Trans-mountain on the West Side.. So my feeling is There should be something online someplace to inform the population of El Paso.

Foster is dead serious about this project. Plus when he takes on a project, he doesn't take long to get started on it and does what he says he is going to do. Western Refinery, Mills Building, UTEP's Foster and Stevens Center, Giving $50 million to the new medical school, etc.. so I'm sure that this project will be started up soon after all meetings are over with. I'm guessing a new website will be up soon with all the details, not too long after the deal has been finalized (EP County Commissioners meeting.)

Here is another picture of the proposed "Fountains" (700,000 sq feet - upscale outdoor mall)

"Miller said Regency can work with the last-minute changes made by City Council, and if Commissioners Court should approve the 381 agreement, they will “immediately start the process of the removal of the blight,” he said."

"Regency maintains that, while the national economy is slowing down, the market in El Paso is growing and remains strong; otherwise they would not be investing."

Lifestyle center (retail - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Really insightful info. Now you see why the Box Malls are worried.
