This is a great boost for the economic viability of The Plaza Theatre -- I'm going to catch one of these flicks -- I hope the rest of you do as well.

EL PASO, Texas - Downtown El Paso's historic Plaza Theatre has come full circle. Feature films will once again be shown in the theater's main auditorium as part of the El Paso Community Foundation's The Movies Return film festival. Decay forced the Plaza to stop showing features in 1974. The theater re-opened in 2006.

The line-up for this year's festival will feature 59 of Hollywood's most celebrated films, including: The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, The Exorcist, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Singin' in the Rain, King Kong, Planet of the Apes, From Here to Eternity and Rebel Without a Cause.

When: August 15-24
