Bree we had 2 TGIF's here.. they both went out of business before their first year. One was on Lee Trevino in front of what used to be Home Base.. now I believe the defunct Pizza place. The other was in the parking lot of Sunland Park Mall.

I will admit an IKEA would be great.

I have honestly never seen a TGIF go out of business. Wow.
Trader Joes is absolutely needed here. Love that place.

The two TGIF actually lasted several years. The one on Lee Trevino simply had a rotten location. Nothing has done well in that location. It is currently being renovated and is going to be nightclub.

The one on Sunland Park really surprised me. That was a great location. TGIF was just ahead of it's time here. It would do good in todays market. At the time, it was almost $4 more per entree than Applebees or Chile's. It was too pricey back then. Now with other chains moving in, the price gap has been closed.

Default So right!

I have to wait to give you rep on this one, but TJ's would be great here. I have to go to ABQ to get close to one. Not even expensive so this would really do well here.

I love this place. I go there at least once a week, they have great happy hour specials and the food is not too bad. If you look at their locations accros the country though, you can see that they are all in major markets or really close to them.

To keep the two threads distinct, let's devote this one to businesses that have never been in El Paso. I edited the title to make that clear.

Use the other thread for businesses that used to be in El Paso.
