I hope Gov Perry looks out for El Paso's needs.
Yes but NM went for Obama and Texas did not. Texas may get a free enema if they ask nicely.

its not a good idea to connect las cruces and el paso with a light rail system. Light rail is intended for denser urban areas with good amount of stops included, like a subway system. For more less urban areas, a heavy commuter rail, such as the road runner would better suit this.

I just read Bowie's thread in the San Antonio forums that San Antoniio is asking for 1.1 billion from Obama. I hope El Paso mayor/congress reps are working on our behalf.

Oh you can be sure of that as EVERY major metro in all 50 states in the nation will be giving their wishlist to the Obama Administation as the stimilus is up to $850 billion that i heard yesterday.

I just read that even little los lunas (25,000) which is about 25 miles south of Albuquerque is submitting $50 million to Obama for a hospital in their town.

Can't wait to see El Paso's list .

Looks like your correct ......as i just read on the Jacksonville newspaper that there are so far 11,000 construction projects nationwide that have been submitted and that will create 850,000 jobs but at a cost of billions of dollars that the mayors all across the USA are asking obama for.

I have been under the weather and haven't been up on the news, so I am sure this has been answered. Just where does he plan on getting this money? Is he going to reach up his butt and pull it out?

But if ELP gets some $$ then I really want good shopping and the ability for stores to carry good beer. Sounds like I may need to be tipsy for the next few years.

They showed something on television just today, it looks like they've cranked up the money making presses. They showed them on the news, just printing money -- rolls and rolls of it. They print it, and cut it by the stacks. Tons of money. It looked like problems are all solved, they're making so much new money for everything.

I didn't even realize that actually print the money like that anymore, it seems they could just increase the numbers in the electronic databases.
