Please provide more info. There are many 5 acre parcels in the Horizon Land area. Most 5 acre parcels are still a very, very long term investment...........Manny.

Try these- you may need to know a partial owner's name
El Paso CAD - Property Search (advanced option)
El Paso Central Appraisal District

It might be this one: http://www.epcad.org/clientdb/Proper...prop_id=407719

Anyone getting bothered from collection agencies wanting 40 years of HCIA dues, like I am, I told the collector in Huston, Ill get back to you on that one. This property in Horizon city estates was deeded to me from my mother who died in 1976. I have reviewed the FTC decisions in 1981 and find that their position(HCIA) is ONEROUS, since the property is sand and catcus and no water yada yada.BTW there are thousands of properties that dues are trying to be collected for, by assorted collection agencies, greed, the properties are crap.

Default UPDATE ARTICLE on land values

There is an article in the El Paso Times today concerning undeveloped properties in the El Paso area - specifically Horizon and Mountain Shadow Estates:

http://www.elpasotimes.com/news/ci_17498314

Quote:
Land once valued at $1,000, is now appraised at a mere $2. According to the El Paso County Central Appraisal District, most of these lots are valued at $10 per acre. This is the value for undeveloped lots with no infrastructure.

This is a SAD situation. I remember when I was a kid in the early '60s they had all kinds of promotions and offering free hot dogs and cokes to get people to come out there and buy the land. At that time, we laughed about it. It is too bad that it will take another 40-50 years for that land to be worth anything.

If it doesn't have water, I don't think state law would allow you to buy it to build a house on.
