I've seen efforts like this come to naught at other universities, including University of Houston and Rice University here in Houston. It takes a long time for the fruits of these endeavors to materialize, and I hope UTEP commits to this through thick and thin.

Good to hear about UTEP trying to solve neurological diseases and this also comes on the heals of the FDA just approving the first ever embryonic stem cell trials on spinal cord paralyses victims.
