Texan- I understand. There are quite of few employers who don't pay what you're worth. My last job with a doctor....I was the office manager. I handled all of his business and personal accounts. (he had 5 different ventures). I was his executive secretary. Plus I ran both front and back office. I took x-rays, drew blood, gave shots, assisted with physicals and surgeries, billed insurances, was the record custodian, supervised one employee (the only other employee we had) etc..etc...etc.... And god forbid if I ever forgot to make his coffee. Oy vey!! And yet I was salary so I was pretty much on-call and worked as many hours as he wanted. And I only got paid what I mentioned before. The only benefits I received was vacation time and christmas bonus which allowed me to get my kiddos something for x-mas. He wasn't the best employer. I had to use my two week vacation for maternity. He demanded that I return after the two weeks of giving birth unless "I didn't value my job". So....sure as s***, I was back and I had a c-section.

Some employers just really bite!

Whoa you're Super Woman! I'm trying to get into pharmaceutical sales, but am having a difficult time contacting anyone. If nothing serious comes up next week, I'll be moving back to Dallas before the month is up.

Fyi...I have a shot at a job with the City of Las Cruces. I have to take an exam for the position over the weekend. The local library is proctoring the exam for me. Although I wish that it was a position within the ELP city limits...Las Cruces is the next best thing. For me it would be like driving from Northwest Austin to San Marcos...about 35 to 40 miles. Same distance to where I would live in ELP and driving to Las Cruces.

Wish me luck!!!!

Do you have experience in the pharmaceutical industry? I am not in sales but do work for a major pharma company and I can tell you that sales reps are being laid off left and right and only the top performers have stayed.

I just hired someone for our sales position. I was surprised how long it took us to hire someone though.

Good luck Smooth. I hope it works out for you.

Hey man, good luck. The Crosses is a wonderful town in which to live and raise a family. I have lots of familia there myself. I'd live there too if there was more to do, but there isn't so I only go there 3 to 4 hours at a time then I head back down I-10.

No, I just graduated from Tech in December. I have seen Eli Lilly postings for entry level positions on a few job websites though.
