Are you proud to be an EL PASOAN? When you go to other places, and people as you where your from, do you say, "im from el paso" proudly or do you mumble it under your breath, or do you say, im from TEXAS? You know my answer, i was born in Lynwood, ca, but i consider myself 100% el pasoan, metaphorically lynwood "birthed" me, but el paso raised me, and made me who i am today, and im proud of that!!!!!! YEEEEEAH~

I got tired of explaining to people where El Paso (except for other Texans) so I just simply say im from West Texas or the far far western Tip of Texas
an being born and raised from El Paso, there are things im proud of (the most beautiful girls and mexican food) and things im not (small town mentality)

Yes I am. I where my El Paso and UTEP garb everywhere I go. I always get a "I went to UTEP" all of the time. When I went to Sea World earlier this year I had people stop me a couple of times.

I will always be a Californian, but wear my UTEP gear whenever I leave the state. I don't think I've been to a place where someone has not responded to the Orange and Blue and when they yell out I respond in kind. I think there is a pride when someone knows where you are from, especially when they are not expecting to see anyone from El Paso. It's like finding distant relatives.
