Being in Germany, Im just so very excited to get to a place where I can have a starbucks coffee anytime i want ~ i have heard there are several starbucks in el paso. But usually there is some "other brand//off the beaten path" cofffee place that has frappucino's and iced coffee drinks that actually tast much better than starbucks. Sooo anyone know of the best one in El Paso?

Default El Pasoans drink coffee?

Hardly, I'm from a coffee city. The Peculator is on Stanton @ Mills down town,
it has Wi-Fi as well; and, is a far cry from Light House Coffee (I don't know
if they're still around); if not, good. I prefer local shops over Starbucks at
all times. They have more incentive to do well with no big corporation
behind them.

When I moved here 3 years ago, I only saw the shop on Stanton down town.
I'm seeing more finally; not local ones, Starbucks.

Enjoy El Paso as much as you can.......

thanks salmanal ~ im from Fort lewis (think seattle tacoma AKA starbucks CENTERAL hehe) and I love the private coffee houses better too! But, I can't lie, I still like starbucks. But given a choice i'll go to a private coffee house over a starbucks.

My problem is i like the fancy frou frou drinks, and sometimes the private owned coffee houses are even MORE expensive than starbucks ~ if you can believe that!

Default The Evolution of El Paso

I'm told, "El Paso will be a different city in about 5 years." I'm sure the Mills
building will be complete before 2014, hopefully upscale stores will
lease the space. I won't be living in El Paso at that time, thank God.
Inexpensive stores or restaurants don't attract coffee drinkers. I am about to move up north; returning to a coffee drinking society.
