Although in Southern NM about 45 north of Las Cruces the Spaceport Tax passed setting up the new Spaceport which will have a huge implication for the Las Cruces area as whats good for Las Cruces is good for El Paso and visaversa.

Virgin Galactic owner Richard Branson announced they will move their world headquarters to Las Cruces and Starchaser inc has announced it will start construction on a new Rocket manufacturing facility in Las Cruces at West Mesa industrial park and also an Astronaut training facility there. Also NMSU's arrowhead research park has announced a partnership with the spaceport so it should help there as well in the high tech cluster.

They announce up to 5,000 new jobs in and around the Las Cruces region from this over the next couple of years. Again just wanted to post here since again both cities are so intertwined with each other.
