What exactly is 3D screen? Have heard of IMAX but not 3D screens.

You wear the special glasses and it gives the movie, if filmed in 3D, more depth and make images pop out from the screen.

Yes you do. That is why the local theaters designate which move you are seeing. For instance, UP is the latest animated 3D movie. In El Paso we are lucky as most theaters have a 3D screen. But the theaters show the movie are more than one screen. So the menu will show UP in 3D, or UP in 2D. Movies in 3D, shown in 3D, are a couple bucks more than your normal movie ticket. This is not like 3D movies from the 80's that were shown on a regular movie screen where you wore 3D glasses.
