I was down in El Paso last year, some friends of mine from El Paso kept telling me what great tacos they had. I tried them when I was down there..... Nasty!!!! rolled tacos in some kind of tomatoe soup that tasted like it was rotting and flooded with cheese. Sorry but they were not good, maybe you have to acquire a taste for them.

I used to go to Chico's all the time after a night of drinking. This is the thing here in El Paso, they're legendary guaranteed to stop the hangover Now I can't stand them. Please. If you want good cheap Mexican food go to Burrito House or KiKi's or Forti's or Victorias. Chico's is overrated.

Default My 2 cents

I know it's not very "El Paso" of me, but I, too, can't stand Chico's Tacos.

Why anyone would choose Chico's over the hundreds (if not thousands) of other taco places is beyond me.

When I visit EPTX later this year, the first place I'm going right off the plane is Chico's on Montana. Make my order a double. Where else can you eat like a king for $3.99? I now live in Florida; but you never know how much you miss good ole' El Paso cooking until you no longer have it.

I agree, that place is nasty. I think the only reason people think is good is because their judgement may be clouded after a night of drinking. Honestly, the only times I ever went there was after last call at the bar.

I'm in San Antonio, but back in 81-82 when I lived in El Paso, I loved Chico's Tacos! I was 10 maybe 11 at that time.
