Can someone tell me the name of those tall evergreen shrubs (trees or bushes?) that are in the picture in post #12? I see them everywhere but can't find the name of them. I find them very beautiful.

Those snow pics are great 1979 thanks for posting them!

Those long tall skinny cedars on the right in the second picture?

We always called them cemetery cedars, since they line the road at my hometown cemetery. I don't know what the scientific name for them is.

They are also here in tall rows at the Alamogordo cemetery.

Thank you Cathy! Yes the long tall skinny cedars. I had never seen them before until I got to El Paso and they are so beautiful!

You're quite welcome, Army..

It suddenly dawned on me that there is also a row of them separating the house next door from my parents' house! I guess I had looked at them for so long there that I never thought of them being planted outside of cemeteries.

Maybe someone will know what the real name for them is!

Thank you!! It was driving me crazy trying to think of their real name! I always thought they were just another variety of cedar (really Ashe and/or Mountain juniper), since the leaves look similar.
