Interesting article, but whenever I read articles about El Paso, they don't seem to be about El Paso at all.

“There’s a weird charm to this place that is very outlaw,” says Al Jourgensen, the father of American industrial metal and former lead singer of Ministry. “No one asks questions because they all have a history and a past—and so do you.”

Yeah right, everyone here has a history and a past, El Paso is so very outlaw. Some people here might have a history and a past, there certainly have been and there still are outlaws here but that's just silly fluff -- overly dramatic. There's a reason that the Britney Spears concert was a sell out and it isn't about El Paso being so outlaw, it's more the pop culture is bigger here than almost anything else.

And a lot of the people here would prefer to go to the Mexican pop group concerts like RBD which would of course be a bigger sell out than even Britney Spears lip synching.

Default Parking lot

Hah! I see a good # of CHIH license plates just in the AM when I take my kids to school.

Plus the Chihuahua and New Mexico plates are a lot cheaper and you don't need the safety inspections or insurance. It's a big help when it comes to the red light cameras to have one of those plates instead of a Texas plate. A lot of people living El Paso use them.

Just pointing out that having a Chihuahua plate doesn't mean someone lives in Juarez.
