The Battleloupe is a good name - it combines English and Spanish, refers to Joe Battle and Loop 375, refers to ramps and loops, and general busyness and a battle of merging traffic.

Sounds good.

You know, they ought to call the southbound frontage road for Loop 375 on the East Side and Lower Valley Joe Battle Boulevard and the northbound frontage road Americas Boulevard. Or maybe the other way around. That part of Loop 375 is a freeway, isn't it? They do this for every other freeway in town, give the frontage roads their own names.

Just saw on the KFOX website that the $45 million in loans were approved, so the projects to improve I-10 and the beginning of the building of the ramps for Loop375/I10 should get started soon.

I thought it was already like that.
THe loop 375 frontage roads in the Northeast (when they complete the freeway) is Woodrow Bean Transmountain Dr. In the eastside the Frontage roads are Joe Battle Blvd. The road from I-10 to Zaragosa is Americas.

I don't mean one name for the entire road and its frontage roads, but separate names for the freeway and each of the two frontage roads. On I-10,there's Gateway West going west and Gateway East going east, and North Desert and South Desert on the west side. On the Patriot Freeway, there's Gateway North going north and Gateway South going south. Like that.

Come to think of it, they could make the eastbound frontage road on Loop 375 Woodrow Bean Boulevard and the westbound one Trans-Mountain Road.

It doesn't really matter, I guess.

that's actually how it is. Loop 375 is still officially Loop 375. It doesn't have a name. The frontage roads are named.

Parts of Loop 375 do have names. The northeastern part of the Loop 375 is officially named Purple Heart Memorial Highway, the eastern part of the loop is Joe Battle Highway, the southern part is Cesar E. Chavez Border Highway, there is also Transmountain Road.

I wonder if Spur 601 is going to be called the "Inner Loop Freeway" as I've seen it been called on the newspapers or if its going to receive another official name?
