IMHO the strongest ticket for the GOP would be Romney/Jindal. Both GOP & the Dems need to attract moderates as they cannot win solely on the basis of the support of the Republican faithful. A Romney/Jindal ticket would attract the moderates necessary to win. Sarah Palin would send the moderates back to the Dems where they would again vote for Obama, even while holding their noses.

Likewise, if Obama does decide to run for re-election and I do have some doubts that he will, you will not see Biden on the ticket as he brings nothing to it. My prediction there: Obama/Hillary. Again, Hillary brings a lot of moderate voters. Yes she has negatives, but who doesn't at that level of politics? She also has plenty of practice dealing with intense criticism.

I do believe that a Romney/Jidal vs Obama/Hillary matchup would be a most interesting contest.

Olympia Snowe.

The one Republican on the national scene I can contemplate for more than two minutes without having to jam a wallet into my mouth so I don't bite my tongue off when the seizure begins.

Romney will probably head the ticket in 2012. GOP tends to pick whoever is next in line and it is his "turn".

Romney/Christie would be an interesting ticket. Particularly if Christie's portfolio was to include cutting gov't programs & institutions.

Who will be nominated for the tea party? Isn't the tea party supposed to run against the GOP?

No, this isn't the case, especially this time. I would be floored and I will say disappointed if he gets the nod.

Perkins, that is one of the sillyest statements I have read on here in a long time:

Pretz: Jan Brewer is probably past her time. She is where she belongs and doing a great job:

Ernest: Olympia Snowe: no way in HELL

EasyBreezy: I still don't think Romney will get the bid and I don't think he could win, but I like your reasoning. I too am wondering if Obama will run a second time and if he dumps Biden..

Of course as we all know, these are just opinions and I could be way off base with mine.

Actually, I'd take Brewer over them all.

Do you think the republicans will attempt to disrupt the democrat primary and vote for Obama for his party's nomination? Just to give themselves a better chance at victory in 2012?
