NationalJournal.com - Video: Charlie Cook Looks Into Senate's Future - Tuesday, March 1, 2011

Oh yeah.

Very good news indeed.

They have to defend 23 in 2012.

The 2014 picture is almost as bad for Democrats. They will have 20 seats up compared to just 13 for the GOP.
Hopefully, we can get to the filibuster proof for the GOP.

Yea, I don't know where in the world they're getting that tripe - it's ok though, let them think it.

Exactly. Catch em arrogant and unaware!

Seems like it's not very hard to do.

Really, just being on the wrong side of virtually every issue will do it for these dems in 2012/2014 and of course paying for the votes they've already made.

I'm thinking they'll just run to Mexico or Canada to avoid the election. That's their new strategy - When the going gets tough, the Democrats get going...over some border.

GREAT news!! Thanks for posting. I tried to rep you, but have to spread more around.

Things will start to turn around as more conservatives take back this country and work to overcome the mess the lefties have made.

I am looking forward to many upcoming elections!

Funny, hmm. I seem to remember a similar situation in which Republicans did everything possible to block a bill from being passed. They believed (as I did too on that issue) that they were doing the will of the people by attempting to prevent passage of a bill that people were outraged about. One guy in MA even campaigned as "Mr. 41" in order to prevent a Democratic super majority which then could prevent a Republican filibuster. Now this time around I'm with the Democrats in WI who are using any tactic necessary like the Republicans did to prevent the inevitable. Do you think they shouldn't have had the right to stand up to Obama and Pelosi during the health care ramrodding? Should they have caved because the Democrats were trying to force a vote so quickly and not let the bill text be known? Or is it only noble to do this when the party trying to prevent passage of a bill is the one you agree with? What about those of us who would gladly write the $100 a day check for their absences, ha we'll call it Sponsor-a-Senator.

filibuster proof majority isnt good in my opinion. i want split control in the house and senate.

and even say they do get both majorities. when they begin screwing up, theyll go out like the dems did last year. this have it one way or the other nonsense is stupid
