I was just reading recently about Fred Thompson's trip to Israel. And before, it was Giuliani. And by the time the 2008 elections are here, it will have been all the candidates if not already. Why does every candidate have to bend a knee to Israel?

Israel has perhaps the strongest lobby in the US of any nation. Their PAC contributes huge amounts to candidates. The PAC has been heavily involved with the Neo-Conservatives and the Project for the New American Century.

I'm not familiar with his platfrom. Has he pledged to be neutral regarding Israel and its neighbors?

Why don't the Palastinians want to go to the many other Middle Eastern countries that practice Islam....a lot of land mass. Instead they want to take over tiny Israel, the only Jewish country in the world. Would Palastinians be happy with half of Israel?

If presidents and presidential candidates don't visit Israel, how will they know the requirements of how to shape their foreign policy?
