Voters see Mitt Romney as the Republican presidential hopeful most qualified to take the Oval Office, according to a new survey.
In a Rasmussen survey out Monday, 49 percent of likely voters said the former Massachusetts governor was qualified to be president, compared with 25 percent who said Romney was not qualified.

Poll: Mitt Romney qualified, Sarah Palin not - Juana Summers - POLITICO.com

Not a surprise.

Romney has been governor, a successful businessman, and saved Salt Lake's Olympic Games.I think he's clearly qualified.

he's also a socialist "romney care" and shouldn't be on the republican party at all.
he's the epitome of 'career politician' and represents exactly what we DON'T need in office. Ever.

Why any republican would vote for this guy is beyond me, the guy is a flip flopper which ever way the wind blows he follows. Plus hes for stricter gun control. I don't care for RomneyCare either hes a big government RINO. I hope republicans aren't dumb enough to vote for him.

They are.

Ask 5 people what each politician stands for on 3 major issues, and i bet 99% of the people you ask won't have a clue.

People want someone with a business experience (unlike Obama) and being able to win independants vote, and conservative democrats vote...Romney can, Pawlenty and Huntsman too.
Honestly I would love to see Rick Perry running.

I agree. I am comfortable with the idea of Romney as president, although I will vote for Obama.

This amazes me: what makes a person qualified? I thought the only qualification to run for Pres was being a naturalized citizen and being 35 at the time of the election. This makes them both qualified I would think. Now, if you are talking about knowledge, problem solving, etc, that is a different story.

Not a surprise.
And in other news, a local bear took a dump in the nearby forest today.
