Rick Perry Picks Up Endorsement from Sen. Jim Inhofe, climate change skeptic - ABC News

Looks like the Republicans are starting to fall in line. Does Romney stand a chance at this point?

No big surprise here. they are both neocon, brainless wonders. Christian extremist warhawks.

In March 2002, Inhofe also made a speech before the U.S. Senate that included the explicit suggestion that the 9/11 terrorist attacks were a form of divine retribution against the U.S. for failing to defend Israel. In his words: "One of the reasons I believe the spiritual door was opened for an attack against the United States of America is that the policy of our Government has been to ask the Israelis, and demand it with pressure, not to retaliate in a significant way against the terrorist strikes that have been launched against them

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Anything is possible, and this endorsement doesn't make a difference for independent or moderate Republicans... the people who would be swayed by an Inhofe endorsement are probably already all in the Perry or Bachmann camp. So if Romney had a chance before, he's still got an equal chance now.

Well we agree on this. Inhofe is a fringe politician, right wing fundie warhawk like Perry. Had it been McCain, that could make a difference.

"Inhofe endorses Perry"

LOL, well that should help......

us libs, that is.

Inhofe remains in office in OK because of the small rural counties. Almost no one likes him. And he runs a very dirty campaign that scares the little old people. He's ruthless, souless and old, thank God.

Good point, when someone like McCain endorses Perry that will help, but it's probably not necessary for Perry until he reaches the general election.

In the meantime, Tea Party candidate + Religious Right = GOP Nomination.

Unfortunately, you are right. The problem is going to be that Independents have been listening and for those that have not been listening, we that have will remind them.

Bush appeared fairly moderate in his primaries. It helped him get elected. This election is shaping up differently. Perry is a fringe NeoCon who comes off looking like a fringe Neocon fundy with fancy suit and cowboy boots. HE is not making any effort to hide it.

As it stands now, it looks like Perry will get the nomination. If that happens the repubs can kiss this election bye-bye. Perry will not pull the independent vote. I think he will also lose a fair amount of republican votes.

I agree. He will try to rebrand himself after the election as a moderate, but he has said too much BS, and hopefully people will remember the last neocon from Texas.

Hopefully people will remember what things were like before Obama, yes. Especially the being employed part.

Isn't it interesting how both Obama and Perry inherited economies from George W. Bush? Things sure turned out differently in each case, though.
