Looking at the Real Clear Politics aggregate of polls:
Palin (undeclared) is ahead of Ron Paul in polls.
Giuliani (undeclared) is just about tied with Ron Paul.
Romney is leading Ron Paul X 2.
Perry is leading Ron Paul X 3
And all of them (but especially the leader) are "afraid of Ron Paul? Sure they are.
We all understand that Ron Paul has a huge internet force out everywhere promoting him, and that he has run/lost for President 3 times - this is his last shot at the golden ring ...... but, let's be serious. Paulers are doing a great job of trashing all the Republican candidates, but that is not going to be enough to bring him to the top.
It could be enough to guarantee another 4 years of Obama if Ron Paul refuses to accept another defeat and goes in as a 3rd part (Revolution?) candidate.
Oh Joy.

They are afraid of him because of his stellar record . For as long as he's been in politics he's been on the right side of the issues. None of the others can really say that. The others are all flip-floppers. The media doesn't like him because if the truth got out to everyone about his platform and his record, he'd easily beat the pants off of every one of them.
Do a search on any search engine and type in his name and note the number of hits that returns. Then do the same on each of the other candidates. You'll see that the total hits the other candidates each get is a fraction of what Ron Paul gets.
The only reason Perry has high numbers is because not enough people know his record or know enough about him. As soon as they do he will be passe, just like Giuliani who was a big front runner in the last election quickly became passe.
In fact it was Ron Paul who pointed out Giuliani's ignorance about 9/11 and maybe that had something to do with his short-lived campaign.
Of course the media is afraid of him because he is smarter than they are. He knows the issues better than they do and he will correct them on them.
