Wrong epithet, sparky.
I'm an independent, I like to hunt and fish, blows your little theory all to hell, doesnt it?
Now, what did this little soliloquy contribute to the matter at hand?
Oh, thats right, nothing.
That would be your usual contribution.

Look up
James Buchanan (1857-1861)

Slavery persisted deep into the 19th century, and more than 600,000 brave young American men lost their lives in order to abolish the cruel practice and preserve the Union. Democrats were in charge of America leading up to the beginning of hostilities in April 1861, and bear a special historical responsibility. Of course, on campus there is a noticeable gap in studying party's history during the last half of the 19th century, which academics also underplay when discussing the casus belli of the War Between the States. The worst among a bad lot of Democrat presidents, ranked at the bottom of several ranking lists, was the man who preceded Abraham Lincoln and left the country in ruins, Pennsylvania-born Democrat(ic) President James Buchanan -- the only man who was a bachelor when elected to the presidency.

Do you feel this could actually happen and would there be an immediate burst of positive economic activity as a result?

I concur with what others have said: his ego is too big.

Hillary's already running the show with some help from Bill. She'd do anything to be President and could still maneuver herself into that position. And how long would she have as President? A year?
Its possible. Obama could just quit, be forced to resign or decide to not run. Hillary is the only viable candidate the democrats have, their field of choices is even slimmer than the republicans.

I'm sure you're on your knees every night praying that President Obama take himself out of the race, since this is the only way that any of these pathetic Republican candidates have a chance to win.

Not going to happen. The solution to this country's problems is to kick Republicans out of office. Pubs wrecked this country over 8 horrific Bush years, then continued their low class ways as regressive obstructionists with the tea party downgrade.

The President will once again present his very superior plans, only to face staggeringly ignorant opposition from clueless Congressional GOP racists. The result? Country continues to suffer. GOP-influenced Congress and Supreme Court stinks.

The Republicans just can't stand it that most voting Americans preferred a black freshman Senator to an experienced Republican. They will never let it go.

This just proves to me that it is only about him being black that the liberals support him with blindfolds on. You can't have the first black president be such an absolute failure now can you? I can think of many black men that would have done a far better job than this man and would have been able to take the heat that comes with the job. Considering he is almost black and the struggle in this country to gain high positions, you would think he would have developed thicker skin, but I believe he was spoiled and too pampered to have had much of a life journey or any kind of struggle.

except that Hillary doesn't want to run.

I guess you haven't looked that closely at the republicans that are running lately.
