We need to severely reduce our military spending. Quit being the world's police, quit fighting others' wars for them. This country runs on blood money and depends on war. This needs to stop. Also, quit giving away so much money to other countries in the name of aid. We need aid dammit! Chop all this crap and actually use that money to *gasp* improve the QOL of our own citizens. Use it towards a sane public health program. Use it save lives, not bomb lives!

Don't you have any care for the truth whatsoever, RCCCB? Have you been so thoroughly brainwashed that you can't take some time to seriously consider the information Grim Reader gave you, information that is clearly and simply laid out for you?
I thank you GR for doing the footwork that I don't bother with (one of the reasons I don't bother to dig up specific facts and figures is because they're ignored or treated with uncomprehending contempt, just as you see with RCCCB - it got old for me after a while).
RCCCB, have you ever heard of "Cognitive Dissonance"? It's a psychological term meaning that many people with a set worldview (such as that universal healthcare is a bad communistic thing that causes mayhem and misery everywhere it's been tried) will actually not be able to see or hear data that contradicts what they already believe in. The mind sees that contradictory evidence as something severely threatening to its existence, and shuts down, not allowing that new data to come in.
This is what I see happening to you. When Grim Reader presented you with clear facts contradicting what you believe in (which is the rightwing viewpoint about health care), your mind literally shut down and was unable to process it. It became a blur, and you filed it under "spam".
Cognitive dissonance is something you might be interested in learning about, it's always good to know about our weaknesses as a human species. You can look it up in Wikipedia, they have an excellent short article on it. It's not just something that happens to conservatives but also to liberals and everyone else. In fact I know of several things that cause cognitive dissonance to my fellow liberals and socialists as well.
There seems to be some lack of understanding of the amounts of money involved here. And just how enormous the waste is.

Also, according to the AMA, there are 850 000 practicing doctors in America. If everyone of them paid 200 000 $ in liability insurance, that is only 170 billion. Nowhere near enough to be a major driver of the US exessive health care costs.
Of course, every doctor does not pay $ 200 000 in liability insurance. That is the high end of Florida Ob/Gyn rates. The average rate is nearer 40 000. Which makes the total 34 billion. Almost 2 % of total US health care costs.
Once again, what is it about health care costs that makes people think they can just make up numbers and arguments? There is nothing secret about these costs.
I mean RCCCB, I get it. You hate America, and want an obviously country-killing system to continue. But couldn't you find a better argument than "Yes it is!"

US military budget: 4 % of GDP (Not counting Iraq and Afghanistan)
US foreign aid 0,1 % of GDP
US health care expenses 17 % of GDP
Of which is waste: 8,5 % of GDP.
The problem is, Americas health care system wastes more than twice the miliary budget plus the foreign aid budget.
Remember the Germans did not start with Aushwitz.

umm the hijackers were almost all saudi as was Osama..and Iran needs to get with the time the Nazis are gone for good and Germany is a economic power house same with Japan and we all get along and are allies and part of the westren world..
