Why would you ever approach something as serious to our lives as politics through the myopic viewpoint of an us versus them argument?

You sound exactly like the people that you seem to despise when you call anyone who disagrees with your philosophies as the enemy. The only time that the majority has failed in most of western history has been when the elitists have successfully pitted the non-elites against each other. You (and the tea party that you so hate) non-surprisingly are doing exactly that. Meanwhile the puppets you both support are sending your wealth to the corporatists and bankers who own your politicians to.

I enjoy hearing David Gergen's opinions on CNN. I don't always agree with him but I do stick around to listen to him when he shares his views and opinions...He has been on both sides and worked in administrations led by both parties..I prefer more neutral commentary versus hard-core partisanship.

You are playing right into the hands of Janet Napolitano and Homeland Security with comments like that. Are you an advocate of the "See something Say Something Campaign?" too? (You know they want everyone to think that the profile of a "terrorist" that everyone should be afraid of is an average white American male. Homeland Security has made videos about it.)

I'll put my partisanship aside for a moment and address this. I'm still amazed that people actually believe that an administration would be against ordinary people succeeding. Hell, I can't stand Republicans and even I wouldn't actually believe this to be true of Bush, Reagan, or Romney. It's in the interests of any sitting president - especially a first-term president - to see ordinary people satisfied and content with their lives. That's how presidencies are won and lost.

What I have accused Republicans and conservatives of in the past is caring more about the success of the wealthy and of corporations than they do about the success of ordinary people. I think there's a fairly hefty volume of evidence to support that, although I suppose that people can disagree. But when I read things like what you've posted above, I think that's just bizarre conspiracy talk.

I don't think any president is against the success of ordinary people. That just doesn't add up - not even in a Hollywood film.
