11thHour's post accurately describes my opinion on Rick Perry.
The majority of peope in this country do not believe that.
A majority of people believing something does not equate it being true. I'm sure that the majority of 3-6 year olds believe in the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, and Santa Claus, however that does nothing to persuade me to believe they are real.
The only thing he has a directive to do is be respectful of all religions as an elected official. I really wish our politics were not so heavily driven by a 2,000 year old fairy tale.
Maybe I'll start my own political party and call it the Posidan Party, and we can all pay our taxes by throwing money into the sea to appease my god...better yet, throw it into the fountains at the mall and stimulate the economy. Is it too late for me to run for 2012?

Perry, the Good (and typical) christian, lying and slandering....but I'm sure some airy fairy in the sky will put him on the right course if we all just pray... (that's always worked so well:rolle yes:)

Nobody said you had to believe...that is the beauty of living in a free society.
Obama knelt at the altar of Israel as well. Oh yes, he assured AIPAC (American Israeli Political Affairs Committee) that he would fight their fight. Does anyone seriously think there's any other reason for the US presence in Afghanistan and Iraq? Does anyone seriously doubt that the World Trade Center bombing occurred for any reason other than US support for Israel? Does anyone doubt that the US will go to war with Iran if the orders come from Tel Aviv? Does anyone believe that there will be any limits to the lives and money lost?
I'll vote for Ron Paul, the only one who does not go to his knees and bang his head on the floor for Israel. I'd love to vote for him as a Republican but I know it will be as a write-in as it was last time.

don't be so sure, many people don't believe in "religion" it just isn't important in their daily life. many people of "faith" don't need the bible or church to tell them how to lead a good 'christian style" life.
not many want their elected officials to wear their religion on their sleeve nor make policy by it.

True. But then they elect as president someone who believes the toothfairy is real and then make public policy according to a book written thousands of years ago about this make believe toothfairy, thus forcing one to live under her proxy rule. It's insanity.
