Perry has been to Israel more than all of the other GOP candidates and Obama (who may have never gone to Israel) and he hasn't just started recently. It's about business development and innovation between Texas and Israel. There is a Texas-Israel Chamber of Commerce. It's a successful partnership and it isn't new. Some of the relationship has to do with agriculture, some with renewable energy.

I don't know why he's "saving" this kind of information in the campaign as it's more evidence of job creation, wooing business and it's international.

I'll vote for Ron Paul, the only one who does not go to his knees and bang his head on the floor for Israel. I'd love to vote for him as a Republican but I know it will be as a write-in as it was last time.

Us being in Afghanistan and Iraq has a lot less to do with Israel than it does other matters. We are in those countries for several reasons...protection of Israel might be a side effect.

Totally agree! And as for Israel's Military....the US has been given 'clinics' by the Israeli Army. Man for man...collectively, Israel has the best 'fighting force' in the world. Ask some 'inside' folks...that is fact!

Benjamin Netanyahu is a pretty sharp fellow!

There are no good reasons to base US foreign policy on the teachings of any religion.

Bam. No need for further statements.

It's like the Republicans want to lose the elections.

There are a substantial number of people that don't believe in the Bible, and to that you need to add the substantial number of people who firmly believe that religion should not be directing government policy. When you add those two groups together, then the majority of people in this country DO believe that.

If you really believe there is a divine mandate from God to unconditionally support Israel you are putting the lives of 330 million Americans at risk. This is the meaning of Americans thermonuclear saber which might have to be unscabbered if Israel's existence is threatened. This something we as a nation have to think about. Would ypu exchange Chicago for Haifa, New York for Tel Aviv, Los Angles for Elath or Washington for Jersusalem.?

Genesis 12:3, which reads, “And I will bless them that bless (Israel), and curse him that curseth (Israel),” as scriptural evidence of the need to support the Jewish state.

Very CLEAR instructions...no doubt!!!

If the bible said to kill your first born son and use the cross to do it would you if they were clear instructions. First of all Genesis was written by the JEWS its called the Old testament.
Its not surprising that the JEWS thought god was on their side and WROTE IT DOWN!! Just like the muslims think GOD is on their side.

It was not written by god it was written by men and as we all know it appears many men have written many books about GOD and for centuries we have killed ourselves for GOD.

Best thing ISRAEL can do is defend itself and maybe the arab nations should have thought about the 1967 borders and land they agreed to for the JEWS after world world 2.
Of course the arabs supported hitler so its no surprise they really didnt care about the JEWS anyway!
This is all about the war that has been going on between the jews and arabs and the best away to live is for them to find a away to coexist and you can blame the religion for finding new ways to create the divide between them. ISRAEL breeds people to have the arabs, they have enlist every man and women into military service just to defend itself.

Stop sending them money and aid to both the arabs and jews and let them start talking for a change.

WE keep find new weapons to give them so they can kill each other.

You apparently didn't study it very efficiently, since your views are quite flawed. Reading the Bible in English and listening to your pastor preach every Sunday does not qualify as "studying all your life".
