Just as predicted, the Tea Party is ruining it for the GOP.
Yeah! It is Ron Paul that is driving the whole thing. He's dictating what is discussed. All the other candidates follow along and try to talk about what he is talking about but they can't do it as well and they are losing steam.

Look at how the GOP's man Rick Perry performed last night? They would have been better off giving him less time so he'd have less time to stick his foot in his mouth.

Whether the GOP realizes it yet or not, this is a GOOD thing for the GOP. Ron Paul can run circles around Obama. Are you kidding? Again, if the GOP knows what's good for them they better just get out of the way and let nature take it's course and let Ron Paul get his message out. All the others are just copy-cats. Ron Paul is the only REAL DEAL.

There are NOT ENOUGH naive, gullible, blind people...for you to make ANY real impact, with ALL your lame attempts to prop up a man (paul) who has no chance!

But, I know you won't let that fact stop you. So rave on...

Yeah, they wanna lead the country, and yet they can't even lead themselves!

On a more serious note, I think the problem for the GOP runs much deeper than the "Tea Party", which was never influenced by the traditional party leadership anyway. Now instead the conservative agenda is unofficially being dictated by unelected pundits such as Limbaugh, Beck, Coulter, Savage, Ingraham, and the like, along with their evangelical analogues (Pat Robertson, Rick Warren, etc.). And all these folks are much more interested in the profit motive and peddling the "rage du jour" to their own "followers", than they really are in traditional party line politics. So even all their "controvery" and "drama" is mainly intended for show.

And actually the first sign of this change was Limbaugh's relentless criticism of McCain during the Presidential campaign, which obviously took a toll on McCain's support. But worse, for the first time since Reagan, this was also a clear violation of Saint Ronnie's cardinal rule... that Republicans should never publicly criticize other Republicans!

Rick Perry is not the hardline GOP's candidate. He is the pseudo 'tea party' candidate...groups like that kooky Freedomworks led by Dick Armey. So if Ron Paul is the 'father of the real tea party', why aren't they backing him instead of a guy that isn't even a conservative like Rick Perry? Makes no sense to me.

Many of those candidate mixed with the right VP would clean Obamas clock.

Add in a Chris Christie or Marco Rubio and Obama is defeated soundly.

Dems know Obama is toast and are scared to death.

What fool would vote for Obama knowing his horrific 3 year record of jobs losses, debt, and the massive mistakes.

Dream on.... even other Republicans don't care for these types, much less the rest of the population!

Is the Tea Party scaring Republicans too?
A poll finds that over half of them aren't fans of the movement.

Your kidding right! not one candidate who can do no better then Obama, sorry not buying it.

Obama is a loser, who promised me you, and the rainman, hope n' change. This my friends is anything but good change most of you expected. Hope what hope, people have lost how to hope under Obama and this administration, crazy administration.

Not that hard, to do better then Obama.

Correct mateo45, I did NOT vote for BO in 2008, but would vote for him against any TP favored man or woman. I'd vote for MR, if he stops pandering to the TP. He should have applauded RP for his handling of the Dream Act and his scolding of the hate-monger crowd. The GOP debates have featured crowds which descended from those cheering on the lions vs the Christians 2000 years ago. They represent the WORST of America.

What did you want Obama to promise? That the economy would continue to take a big giant **** on us?

And as I often state, my retirement accounts have grown quite a bit under Obama. It would be quite disingenuous for many of you "bash Obama at every turn" types to not admit this has been the case for you also. If it hasn't, you are a pretty lousy investor.
