Perry isn't done yet, but if he is the GOP candidate, he'll almost certainly lose. A Perry-Obama debate would be an embarrassment for the Republicans.

Well I believe it will be Romney. He is the only one smart of to know that there is no pleasing the tea party so he keeps his answers ambiguous. So at the end of the day, he is the only one that does not come off as a loon.

Boy, I really got jeered by a lot of conservatives on here when I said Perry's biggest enemy is Perry. I wonder if they will soon realize many see this as a problem for the entire GOP?

Yes once they start articulating their stance, it immediately goes down hill for them, and that is because their ideas are not that popular.

This loon is more embarrassing than Bush was. Perry, Palin, Bachmann...... and the rest of the world is pointing and staring in utter amazement at the combined stupidity they and their supports represent.

It's embarrassing to be an American right now with these loons getting any traction.

The debates would have been more fun if Trump and Palin were also sharing their words of wisdom. Right now, excepting for maybe Huntsman, Romney and Paul, they look like complete idiots.

Perry has done allot for Texas. The facts prove that. However to put him in control of the nation as a whole would not work out real well . What has proven to be good for Texas is oil related jobs. From the oil companies to the drillers them selves, there is a better economic stability in Texas then the rest of the nation.
The problem with that is you won't have the abilities and opportunities for the nation as a whole that Texas has enjoyed during the ongoing recession. There probably won't be allot of oil being drilled in New York or Down town Baltimore.
Another issue is that there is a group with in Texas that wants to secession from the Union. I was listing to Sam Malone one day (who is a Texas Tea party voice via 700 am KSUV). He had on a proponent of secession and Malone continued to support the idea. In a later broadcast Gov Perry was on and he related the same ideas to Malone. Personally I do not want a President that wants his home state to become their own country. It could be argued that as President he would not want Texas secede to but that he is comfortable with the idea makes him, in my eyes not a viable candidate for the US as a whole.

As horrible as Obama is at being president, he will eat Perry's lunch in a debate situation. If he is the nominee, I don't think I can bare to watch it. We see now why Perry like to skip debates.

I'm pretty sure one lobbyist said that to get in the door to see Perry would cost at least $200,000.

Yep...here it is...
