Anyone running on the Republican side will very easily defeat obama. It will be the worst defeat in presidencial election history.
Live your little dreams as long as you can, obama is out in November, 2012.
I wouldn't even put much money on obama running again. His corruption is coming more to the front every day. He has a hand in so many questionable things, he may be in jail before the election. If not, he is such a total failure, he may not even run... He has absolutely NO chance..

Every single domestic category was in crisis mode and required immediate attention. He also had been given two severely mismanaged wars, a record deficit, an economy heading swiftly towards another Great Depression, and a resurgence of the most blindly bigoted, racially insensitive, insanely prejudiced segment of our country.
He had promised much, but didn't bank on the historically pathetic GOP going into neanderthal obstructionist mode. The GOP caused the problems that President Obama was given and now they were determined to make sure those problems remained, foolishly thinking that the least enlightened among us would automatically blame "the president." The GOP created the "tea party", then pretended as though this was a separate movement. In reality it reflected the GOP's utter disdain for a black man as President of the United States. In essence, President Obama has been hampered by a Congress crippled by these regressive bigots, and the country has suffered mightily as a result. The Supreme Court still leans Right, cursed by Conservative Justices like Roberts and Thomas. Again, the country suffers when the GOP prevails. This has been true going on 11 straight years now.
For the Midterm elections, the President urged his supporters to vote to prevent the GOP from making gains. Dems were complacent, and as a result, in order to get some things done, the President had to compromise. After all, he's dealing with the GOP, people incapable of being flexible as their minds are as nimble as a slab of stone. Abandoned for the Midterms because of those suckered into believing that Obama was to blame for Bush's continued problems, the President had to compromise. I like his strategy though. He is an intelligent man.
He has given the Pubs much of what they wanted and the result speaks for itself: FAILURE. Failure is what the Republicans had shown themselves to perpetuate when Bush was in office. Failure is what happens when policies emerge from Congress that please the Republicans. Republican plans for this country don't work. They work for only the most privileged, which essentially means that everyone else can go to hell. Republicans and their ideology, stinks. No question about this.
President Obama will win reelection for these reasons.
Would agree with nearly all your assessment, except for the part about Obama necessarily winning re-election, which is still over a year away. A lot can happen in that time, and I would never underestimate the GOP's ability to come up with a suitable "pretty face" (e.g. Reagan & Dubya) at the last minute. And let's not forget that Obama also came out of relative obscurity to overtake "sure thing" Hillary.
But even with all deference to the magnitude of his undertakings, and the perniciousness of his opposition, and even for all his great tenacity and management abilities, on balance Obama has still been a poor "Leader" in the classic sense that FDR, Reagan, or even Clinton have been. And if you listen, there is a strong craving for that quality, especially in such anxious times, and it crosses party lines. So let's just hope that in the next few months, the GOP doesn't manage to find a good "actor" to step in and play that particular role.

Obama was green when he came into office. He thought that he could use reason and diplomacy. He did not have a workable cabinet. I think he may be getting his second wind, and hopefully coming out like a leader should with a little fight.
he's still the favorite, whether others want to admit it or not.
nobody is going to have the money he has, and the incumbent is always the desirable position to have.
