Obama had ZERO qualifications prior to gaining the presidency - he hadn't so much as run a popsicle stand, but suddenly was the appropriate choice to run an entire country.
If the republicans had even bothered to run a decent candidate (one wonders if they will actually ever find one), it would have not been an issue.
